2011-12 WASHINGTON COUNTY PRESIDENT JANET DOXEY

Janet Doxey and Robyn Parry continue to serve as Co Presidents of the Washington County Medical Society Alliance. Janet and Jane Madsen, Treasurer, attended the UMAA convention, installation luncheon and board meeting held at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, September 16, 2011.

The Washington County Alliance has helped revive their medical society and are planning an opening social picnic on September 26th. It will be held in a local park, with a climbing wall and bounce house. At this annual event, dues are collected along with e-mail addresses, and the local directory is given only to those who attend and pay dues.

There is a luncheon held in October, November, January, February and March, rotating through a variety of local restaurants. The schedule is published in the only mailed newsletter each year. A charity is chosen for each event, with cash donations and items for their wish lists collected.

In November, there is a joint dinner with the medical society.

In May, the Doctor of the Year is honored at the Alliance's closing social.
